Sales associates wearing the communicator, about the size of a matchbox, can activate the device with their voice and use it to access information from the company’s IT system as well as communicate with fellow associates, including those from other stores. Employers, meanwhile, can tap into the communicator system via WiFi to track how employees communicate with each other, how they interact with shoppers and where they spend the most time.

According to Theatro, companies that have used the communicator system have shown 5 to 10 percent increases in productivity and 3 to 5 percent increases in top line revenue.
